PROJEKTBESCHREIBUNG
The Aamättli commercial area is being revitalized step by step. The former building of the Rohner print shop and the Christen bakery will be put to diverse new uses starting in January 2026.
In a first phase of the roughly three-year interim use, the premises were subdivided and activated step by step. This allowed Duss Baumanagement AG, among others, to open its new place of business here. From spring/summer 2026, the building will be further enlivened by the opening of the “Funpark Nidwalden” and the CrossFit studio “NW-FIT”. Smaller units also house a pottery studio and a painting atelier.
Long-Term Development Perspective
In parallel with the interim use, a comprehensive, combined area development is being prepared together with the neighboring plot at Flurhofstrasse 9. Both plots have different spatial and functional qualities that can ideally complement and reinforce each other in a joint development.
The goal is to create a versatile, future-proof area that, on around 6,500 m² of floor space, provides room for commerce, services, leisure and creative uses, as well as innovative forms of work.
Traffic access, including a shared underground car park, is planned via the Flurhof commercial area. This will allow the Aamättli 4 plot along the Aa stream to fully unfold its special, natural setting. This opens up attractive opportunities for high-quality amenity and usage spaces — for companies and visitors alike.
We are convinced that an inspiring location with a diverse offering for the local population can be created here.
Could you also imagine your company or your business idea taking off at Aamättli? We would be happy to explain our long-term plans to you in a personal conversation.
We look forward to hearing from you.
